Central Connecticut Real Estate Market Report 9.9.08

In the Central Connecticut real estate market, homes are taking longer to sell, median sales prices are down, and there are fewer sales. No surprises there.

Here are the statistics for all of Hartford County in August 2008 compared to August 2007 according to the CT MLS:

 

Year-to-Date, the numbers overall show the same.

Towns Where It’s Good to Be A Home Seller

Some of the towns with the lowest inventory and fastest selling homes are: West Hartford (always the Superstar), Farmington and Newington.  West Hartford is still technically in a seller’s market with slightly less than 3 months of inventory. 

Towns Where It’s Good to Be A Home Buyer

Some of the towns with the highest inventory and slowest selling homes are: Suffield, Canton and Granby.
